A SURGE in number of those infected: Nearly 100 new cases, one person died

Yet another person died as a result of coronavirus in Serbia in the last 24 hours, while 96 new cases of COVID-19 virus infection were registered. A total of 12,522 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were registered in Serbia by 3 pm on June 17^th, 2020. Samples of 6,098 people were tested since the last report, of which 96 were positive. There are 17 people on respirators. Yet another person died in the last 24 hours, and so far a total of 257 patients have died as a result of the coronavirus in Serbia. The mortality rate is 2.05 percent. So far, a total of 319,581 persons who met the criteria for case definition have been tested.
