Serbia’s debt in May increased by EUR 2.2 billion
The Ministry of Finance has announced that the public debt of Serbia amounted to EUR 26.79 billion at the end of May this year, which is 57.2 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). At the end of April this year, the public debt amounted to EUR 24.55 billion, and had a share in GDP of 52.4 percent, which means that in May it increased nominally by about EUR 2.2 billion, and its share in gross domestic product increased by 4.8 percent. At the end of January this year, the public debt amounted to EUR 24.20 billion, and at the end of December 2019, EUR 23.94 billion, which was 52 percent of GDP.
